National Youth Sunday > What to do afterwards? > Training for youth ministry
Training for volunteers is regularly offered by diocesan youth services. See catholicyouthwork.com/contacts for your local youth office.
You can also learn online with the new course being offered by St Mary’s, Twickenham. You can find more information here: cymfed.org/training.
There’s non-Catholic training for youth ministry run by the Centre for Youth Ministry: centreforyouthministry.ac.uk/Courses/Certificate.
Lots of courses in secular youth work, including first aid, mentoring, and basic youth work skills etc are run by local authorities, so it’s worth contacting the youth service at your local council to see what’s available. Of course, these courses are not run with Catholic values, but can be very useful for certain topics.
