National Youth Sunday > Session 3: Engage
“Sunday duty is just as inappropriate expression as ‘kiss duty’ would be for someone truly in love. No one can have a living relationship with Christ without going to the place where he is waiting for us... the celebration of Mass is the ‘heart of Sunday’ and the most important appointment in the week.”

The session helps young people to explore how they are involved, and how they might become more involved, in the celebration of the Mass. To deepen their involvement in the worship, the group explores how they use their bodies at Mass, and what difference this makes. Finally, they get to reflect on what really happens at Mass. This session has the option of extended prayer at the end, allowing your group to try out different ways of praying using their different senses, including making rosaries, tasting different foods and looking at different images of Christ from around the world.
This presentation works even better with music. Unfortunately it costs a lot of money to buy the rights for any piece of music. What we've done instead is suggest some music that you can download from iTunes for 99p. You can put the music on a laptop or a phone and start the music at the same time as you start the movie playing. See the Technology section for more tips.
The music we suggest is: Starfield "Glory is Rising" (upbeat) or Edwin Fawcett "Stronghold" (mellow)
Choose the one which will suit your group best!
